WILD

Funded by the Squamish Arts Council, WILD (May 2022) was a performing arts event that blended contemporary ballet dance, live music and storytelling in an inclusive and welcoming environment. WILD celebrated the connection between community and art to generate revenue ($6,000) for Girl in the Wild, a non-profit organization that provides free, adventure-based learning opportunities for young girls in the wild spaces of British Columbia.

WILD brought the Sea to Sky Dance Collective's vision of community collaboration to life. The collective danced alongside youth dancers from Squamish Dance Centre, in a production threaded together through visual art projections from a past Girl in The Wild participant, Louise Albright and our multi-talented artist and musician, Alex Badger.
